Pharmaceutical Care Services Plan for Lothian
The new community pharmacy contract replaces one where the payment for NHS pharmacy services was mainly related to dispensing of medication. The new contract aims to better use the skills and knowledge of pharmacists, who now graduate at a Masters level of degree education, and better use the location and facilities of a pharmacy to meet the needs of patients.
