Who gave their Heart & Soul?

Entries are now open for our Celebrating Success Awards 2017.

The annual awards help us to recognise our staff who put their heart and soul into their day to day jobs.

Is there someone you know that deserves recognition for their hard work and care? If so, make sure you show your appreciation and nominate them for a Celebrating Success Award.

Tim Davison, Chief Executive, NHS Lothian, said: "The Celebrating Success Awards highlight the truly inspirational and selfless work that our staff carry out daily across our health services in Lothian every day.

"I see at first hand our staff putting their heart and soul into delivering safe, effective patient-centred care, demonstrating our values are an integral part of their daily working lives. The Celebrating Success Awards are a great way for us to recognise our staff’s commitment and dedication and in a small way say thank you for their loyalty and hard work.

The Awards always leave me feeling uplifted and full of pride. Our staff really are the heart and soul of NHS Lothian. They are a great credit to us and the people of Lothian and we should be proud of them."

We're looking for those staff who embrace the organisation's core values of quality, dignity and respect, care and compassion, openness, honesty and responsibility and teamwork.

There are nine awards, which are open to NHS Lothian staff to nominate their colleagues.

As well as this, we have one special category which offers patients, carers and relatives the opportunity to nominate a healthcare worker who they believe is a true 'Health Hero'.

Show support for the #lothianheartbeat

The definition of a heart means different things to different people. For some it represents spirit, for others it is about compassion and kindness whilst for most people it symbolises love.

Our staff are the heartbeat of NHS Lothian and without all of our nurses, doctors, porters, care assistants, administration staff and many more, we wouldn’t be able to provide the level of healthcare we do for you every day of the year.

Help us to show some love and give a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to those staff who go above and beyond in their jobs every day of the year.

Join us with our #lothianheartbeat campaign and show your support for our staff.
