The Edinburgh Cancer Centre is proud to be hosting the 2012 UK Varian Users' Group Meeting. Varian Medical Systems is the world's leading supplier of radiotherapy equipment and software for treating cancer. This meeting offers the chance for professionals from all UK Cancer Centres with Varian equipment to get together and share knowledge and experience. The meeting will cover all topics relevant to Varian users such as workflow in radiotherapy, efficient treatment delivery, treatment planning, and use of image guided, intensity modulated and rotational radiotherapy. There will also be a special session focusing on commissioning, treatment planning and technical aspects of the most recently released Varian linear accelerator: the TrueBeam linac.

The Varian Users' Group meeting 2012 will be held at the Scottish Health Service Centre at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh on the 23^rd and 24^th February 2012. To facilitate travel the meeting will start at noon on Thursday 23^rd and finish at around noon on Friday the 24^th.
