A home delivery service is available for patients who are eligible to be supplied continence products. NHS Lothian manages its own home delivery team and works in partnership with local pharmacists and specialist delivery companies to distribute when it is most appropriate and cost effective.

Deliveries occur timely on planned days Monday to Friday. Home delivery drivers operate from clearly marked NHS vehicles, are uniformed and display identification. Occasionally, patients may be out or unable to answer the door, the driver will post a card through the letterbox to inform of their attendance and action. Drivers are able to uplift certain unwanted and unused products where packaging seals are intact.

Patients can collect continence aids if it is more convenient from the community store at Astley Ainslie Hospital. Collections can only be done through prior arrangement with the Service and between 1pm and 2pm Monday to Friday.
