The Royal Victoria Hospital, Edinburgh, is a 186-bed facility for care of the elderly patients. It is central to the assessment and rehabilitation hospital for older adults in the north of Edinburgh, comprising a 150-bed medical assessment and rehabilitation unit and a 36-bed psychiatry of old age unit.
Within the medical unit there are two acute assessment wards, two trauma wards specialising in falls and orthopaedic rehabilitation, and a stroke rehabilitation unit. There are three day hospitals (Medical, General Adult Psychiatry and Psychiatry of Old Age) and a busy outpatient department.
Outpatient clinics take place at the Royal Victoria Hospital and at Leith Community Treatment Centre.
The Royal Victoria Hospital is in the north-west of Edinburgh, near the Western General Hospital.

- Occupational therapy
- Orthopaedic assessment and rehabilitation
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Speech and language therapy
- Stroke rehabilitation.
