Committee Membership
The Midlothian CHP Subcommittee comprises:
Chair - Mr Eddie Egan.
General Manager – Mr David Small. Mr Small has a key role in leading and managing the CHP and has accountability for the planning and delivery of services. He is also responsible for ensuring integration with specialist services, Local Authorities and other partners. He is accountable to the Chief Executive of Lothian NHS Board.
Clinical Director - Dr Hamish Reid. Dr Reid has a key role in leading, co-ordinating and supporting the organisation (including Planning and Redesign), quality and effectiveness of all clinical services within the CHPs, including those hosted on behalf of NHS Lothian. He is accountable to the Medical Director of Lothian NHS Board.
Chief Nurse - Ms Liz Cregan. Ms Cregan has a key role in providing clinical leadership, professional and managerial support (including Planning and Redesign), quality and effectiveness of all nursing staff within the CHPs to ensure that high quality nursing care is provided to patients and their carers. She is accountable to the Midlothian CHP General Manager.
General Medical Practitioner Member - Dr Hamish Reid. Dr Reid ensures professional input to the CHP from local GPs and feeds back to them as chair of the GP Practice Representatives Group.
Council Elected Member - Councillor Jackie Aitchison.
Council Officer Member - Colin Anderson.
Staff Member (Staff Partnership) - Thomas Miller.
Acute (Hospital) Senior Officer - Ms Sandra Mair. Ms Mair ensures there are close working relationships between the primary and acute division.
Allied Health Professional (AHP) Member – Mrs Morag Barrow. Mrs Barrow ensures the professional input to the CHP from AHPs.
Voluntary Sector Member - Mr George Wilson. Mr Wilson is responsible for representing the interests of Voluntary Sectors within Midlothian to the CHP.
Carers Representative – Ms Julie Gardner (Interim Carers Representative). Ms Gardner is responsible for representing the interests of Carers organisations within Midlothian to the CHP.
